What is it that you REALLY want?

What do you want in life that you don't have? Before you read on, take a minute and really think about this.  (THINK TO YOURSELF NOW)

Okay, now that you have thought about it, what are you going to do about getting it?  How excited are you about getting this "thing"?  Are you excited about it?  If not, then you don't really want it.  Many people come to me about getting in shape / becoming healthier.  If they aren't excited about the prospects of being healthier / living a better life / getting fit, then it isn't going to happen.

The first thing you can do to help bring about what it is you want is to STOP talking about what you don't want.  Get the negative feelings out of your head; and consequently, stop sending negative vibes to the universe.  If you keep saying to yourself, "I don't want to be overweight anymore", your brain hears "OVERWEIGHT" and you continue to be overweight. Why does this happen? Because you are giving attention to the thought of being overweight. And since that is what you are ultimately thinking about, that is what you will get. You need to change your thinking AND your feelings to positive thoughts and feelings.  Instead you should say, "I want to be at a healthy weight."  Guess what?  Your brain hears "HEALTHY WEIGHT" and that is what it focuses on.  The most important thing is that when you say these positive thoughts to yourself, you have to believe them and be excited about them.

Try this exercise out and let me know how it is working.  If you are having difficulty with reframing your thoughts, let me know.
