You Are A Magnet!
You are a magnet!
The Law of Attraction states that we attract to our life that which we give our attention, energy and focus to; whether positive or negative. So this must mean we are a magnet. In fact, Merriam-Webster OnLine defines magnet as "something that attracts." Therefore, if we are attracting things to our life, then we can be considered a magnet.
Let me analyze this thought process. According to LOA, if I think about something I want...I attract it. And if I think about something I don't want...I will still attract it. The question then is...WHY? Why do I still attract something I don't want? I said I didn't want it. The reason is because you are still giving your attention to it. If I say, "I don't want to be poor." I am still thinking about being poor and I am emotionally attached to that thought. My "magnet" is attracting more of being poor.

Try this exercise. Take a magnet and place it in your hand. On the table place a 1 nail and 1 screw. Now take your magnet and point it to what you do want (the nail) and say, "I want the nail." What happens? You attract the nail to the magnet. Now take the magnet and point it to what you don't want (the screw) and say, "I don't want the screw." What happens now? You attract the screw to the magnet. Why did this happen? Because you gave attention to the screw by pointing to it. So instead of pointing to what you don't want, point to what you do want. Besides, you will be much more efficient doing things this way.
This is how LOA works. If you "point" to the things you don't want, you are still going to attract them. Instead of giving attention to what you don't want, reword your statements and give attention to what you do want. Remember, the Law of Attraction is all about the words we use, the feelings we have about those words, and the vibes we are sending out.
